We have had the priveledge to be a part of this new amazing place called Connect Downtown. Its a coffee shop/church in our town, and we lead music w/the Connect band every thursday. Its a coffee shop but every thurs. we have church for people who don't like church, or who have been turned off by religion, or christians, or just church in general. We just talk about everyday life stuff that everybody struggles with, and talk about how Jesus, not religion, can help you. Its amazing. We also have amazing coffee, and tons of other drinks.All of our coffee is Fair Trade, which is awesome, if you don't know anything about fairtrade, do some research!All of our coffee cups are also made out of corn, so they are compostable, which is pretty cool .
Tonight our new friend Shawn from Capetown, South Africa talked and played some songs. He was awesome. We have become good friends w/him and his wife Karien, in just a short time. It is enlightening to hang w/them, and eye opening at the same time. I don't know as much about my country as i want to or should, and am def. clueless about whats going on in other countries.
